Same off and on problem here. I use IE as well. Stranger still, I'd get onto the forums main page and as soon as I tried to enter General Discussions or any other forum, it would stop and give me the send error report message. Very odd. The content said something about a problem with the wininet.exe or something like that.

Try a different browser is all I can suggest. It's never happened with Firefox for me, but I used to be a chronic sufferer.

Charlie - ever tried posting on Firefox before? You should experiment - as the forums were working fine for me on Firefox. Also, next time they are down for you Il try on IE and see what happens.

By the way, have you tried disabling friendly HTTP error messages, so that you know which error you are getting? To do click tools on IE, then options, then advanced and uncheck "Show Friendly HTTP error messages". This will get rid of the "this page cannot be displayed" standard message, and tell you the actual error.

Well I'm at work right now, with the worst dial-up in the world LOL, and I managed to download Firefox. So will see if it makes any difference with the White Page of Death. If it does I'm definitely putting Firefox on my home PC.

I get the 'page cannot be found' error msg more often now, but for a while it was not a problem for me (maybe a month or so ago).

I saw someone mention it could be a dns issue, but I've no idea what would fix it. I'll mention it to Z again.

Sigmar, good luck with your exams!

Try typing the ip of IW into your browser, instead of www.ironworksforum etc. etc.

Well so far so good with Firefox. I've been online now for a full 20 minutes straight with no WPOD! So Firefox might be the solution! Not gonna say for sure yet though, just sayin so far so good.

Oh one thing that is kinda odd with Firefox. First, my KungfuGal sig is moving at warp speed ROTFL. I don't think I've ever seen anything move so fast on this sluggish PC! Second, the page seems wide on ALL threads, I have to scroll left to right to read everything.

See it how we the enlightened see it

It's cos IE slows down the frame rate for animations or something like that. Ask Lennon if you reallywant to know

Barely even enough time to see the boobs wiggle

Yes I think IE sets it automatically while firefox uses the speed at which the animation is set. Never had a problem after switching to firefox.
