Just something I noticed using my little undead army of 6 Skeleton Warriors ( so I use cheese, sue me ) against a lich and a few of his escort.
I managed to lure a Greater Mummy out towards my awaiting army, alone. My plan was to use the Skeleton Warriors to keep him busy enough for me to pelt him to death with Melf's Minute Meteors.

This offcourse because greater Mummies AFAIK cannot be hit by anything less substantial than +3 ( or maybe +2 .. cant remember ) .. however !
My Skeleton warriors could hit the Greater Mummy,... Skeleton Warriors only use +1 weapons IIRC

Anyone care to shed light ?

That sounds familiar to me. I didn't investigate since this was just fine to me. I don't know the exact enemy (could have been the mummies) but they were supposed not to get hurt buy +1 weapons.

Now that I think of it, I believe it could have been vampires, but I am not sure.

Sorry, but I don't know why either.

After browsing through many different files in NI, I found out that summoned Skeleton Warriors doesn't use a regular +1 two-handed sword, but a two-handed sword that has a +1 to damage, but hits as a +3 weapon.

Thought so .. and what is required to hit them ?
IIRC Mummies, other skeleton warriors and even Greater Mummies cannot hit them..

Greater Mummies have unenchanted weapons, but they can summon a +5 Black Blade of Disaster at will Your own Skellie Warriors can be hit by +3 weapons according to IE.

Both the Skeleton Warrior and the Greater Mummies are immune to +2 weapons and less.

Just to clarify a few things.

Sir Exxon is correct about summoned Skeleton Warriors. They hit with a +3 enchanted weapon, and to make it even better, it is a two-handed weapon. The trapped Iron/Admantium Golems beckon... ...

[Unless you got the Improved Golems Mod of course. ]

Greater Mummies require +3 enchanted or better weapons in order in to be hit. They cannot summon Black Blade of Disaster upon will unless you have the Improved Undead Mod.

All Skeleton Warriors( both monster and summoned) are only immuned to unenchanted weapons. Anything that is +1 enchanted or better, can hit them.

Of course, it's still a laugh riot to send one to go & kill an entire army of Rakshasa, all by its little lonesome......
