I have to agree with Carragher when he said that crap teams have won it before and could do it again, but I really think it's gonna be an italian team this year. My money, if it existed, would be on Juve.

I wouldn't wanna call Italian teams crap, they just have a totally different view on how to play the game. The fans overhere would never tolerate that type of play, but obviously the Italians themselves don't share that emotion. Individually they have the best players imaginable, and should be very capable of playing attractive open football, but they refuse to do so, and prefer to dig themselves in and look for one deadly counterattack. If Italians take a 1-0 lead, it's almost impossible to get back in the game for any opponent. It's boring to watch, but also very effective.

Edit: I really should start reading a post better before making a reply.

I really, really love Italian football. I'll watch any Italian game that's on, but with the English leagues I only really watch United and any games that affect United, e.g. Chelsea and Arsenal. I like watching Liverpool and City though, just to see them lose really. Sorry.

I'm sure an Arsenal win in europe or an ashes win in the (northern) summer will find his acid wit back to normal service (fingers crossed)

I have always hated Juve with their past rivalries with Ajax in the champions league... hehehe

Liverpool? Leverkusen? You must be joking... hehehe

I'd be even gunning for PSV... haha nah but my money's on Juve

EDIT: Well I take it back... I am for AC Milan. Did not see them the first time around....

PSV could come a long way this year, they're very tough to beat. When Kezman and Robben left at the end of last season everyone thought they would enter a rebuild phase, but their new and farely unknown contracted players are making a huge impact. There's Damarcus Beasly, an American winger, who appears to be one of the greatest talents from the US, Farfan, another winger, picked up in Peru, and he made the fans already forget about Robben. They also picked up a tremendous goalkeeper in Brazil, i've never seen faster reflexes in any other goalie. But the biggest impact comes from their new central defenseman, Alex. A Brazilian giant made out of granite, anyone unlucky enough to bump into him, won't forget that encounter very lightly.

I don't care much for PSV, but you gotta hand it to them...they sure know where to scout for young talent. After all, they were the first ones to attract players like Romario and Ronaldo to the Netherlands, when they were young and unknown talents. Looks like they hit the jackpot once again with these 4 players, because already their marketvalue has gone up multiple times.

Well that is why I have always loved the Dutch hahaha

Wait johnny can you clarify something for me? Now that I think of it, I do not get it why Dutch clubs have to ship out other Dutch players because of financial difficulties? I remember that time when Ajax was instantly relegated to a *rebuilding phase* in my opinion beacuse they lost De Boer bros, plus Kluivert (they all were put in Barcelona)and later Litmanen (they kept Litmanen anyway they just let him go I suppose). Something with Dutch players having to be shipped out is what I do not get...
