ok, cool. Thanks for the quick answer.

Personally, I'd rather see ads, or have them killed by firefox before they popped up than pay to post on a message board. But that's just me, being honest here.

Why not offer some special features to the users who donate $$$? Maybe a bit more incentive than what you currently have?

I see, well to each their own, eh? Noooo.. We discussed the 'membership' type services, and it's not fair to those that can't afford it. So na..

Thing is, if firefox kills it, the ad server never even sees the hit, so Z would get nothing unless you allowed them to load.

About disccusion: the thing is that I really like IW and all but I am 17 years old and I can't send any money. I told my parents but they are skeptical about it. I don't blame them since there are many scams these days. So I think paying year's subscription wouldn't be that fair. Next year when I turn 18 I will see what I can do. But I still have to finish high school and all.

First off, I've never donated any money to "the fund" in the past. Though I intend to when I get my credit card.

Realistically Ziroc, although I love IW as much as the next member, $200 a month is a big figure for a community of posters to produce.

It's unfair that a few individuals should have to contribute this sum of money month in and month out while the rest of us take it for granted and enjoy the ride.

How can you reward these members? You can't without denying the non-paying members certain features of the site.

So it's quite a pickle indeed. Personally, I liked Johnny's idea, selling merchandise. That stuff "flies of the shelf" on other websites, with a hammer logo and stuff, I could dig it.

This COULD be a big help. It wouldn't hurt to ask around for the costs, i'm sure there's a few people willing to invest in something like this to get the ball rolling, including myself.
Wasn't there a topic before (I think when I first signed up) about car bumper stickers or something?

I'd donate Z, but being only a teenager I can't use a credit card, and my parents wouldn't let me use theirs. I MIGHT be able to use my cash card, I'll check that out later on this month.

Well thanks to the members that have donated. I am going to set up a paypal and try to get a few bucks to IW. Iam not the most active member. But I feel that I should try to do my part. I just have never been a fan of paying for anything to do with the internet. But I guess I need to look at that thought again.
