This is a picture of the sign in front of a local law firm:

This is what I think of whenever I see their commercials:

No offense to anyone in the profession! These guys couldn't have better names for their jobs though.

"Virtue is in the middle," said the devil, as he sat down between two lawyers.

When I saw the 1st sign and it said "Parking in the rear", I expected to see a sign in back saying "GD Lawyers"

I agree... the "parking in the rear" line is just waiting to be exploited (and then have the ACLU sue someone on its behalf).

We've had lawyers since before we used flintlocks between Lexington & Concord. With all the amendments, civil rights, Title 7, etc. I think they've earned there place more than a LOT of others. I never heard of an insurance company improving America. I never heard of an insurance company covering anyone 'Pro Bono'.
I never hearsd of an insurance company extending coverage on contingency because you couldn't keep the premiums up.

I take offense at the brainwashing of America by back-door campaigns that 'Trial lawyers are evil', when they've done more to preserve America in the last year than Insurance companies have in the past 200 years.

VulcanRider & Bungleau,
Funny but exploiting that part of the sign would have been too easy. *throws a paper-wad at Gwen for not blurring it out with the street number like I told her to*.

quietman1920,
I did say no offense to anyone in the profession in the initial post and I am sorry that you were. It was nothing more than a joke poking fun at the names, not the profession. It would have made no difference to me if they were grocers and if Grimm Eye Clinic were still in business, I'd have their sign posted here too - you know - "things are looking Grimm"? )

I have nothing against lawyers and will even say that I have a couple as friends (and at least one in my employment). Not all trial lawyers lol.

Insurance companies - holding my tongue -

Heehee, pretty cute Violet. I can see the urge to change the sign with the name GRABB already there LOL! We have one firm here called Low & Low, and I always think to myself when I see their sign "How low will they go?!"

Sorry Q, didn't mean to step on your toes. That line would've worked with lots of different professions. AFA insurance companies, you'll get no argument. I read somewhere that the 1st life insurance policy was written in the 1500s -- and the company tried to weasel out of paying.

Sorry for the reaction, but everywhere I turn lawyers seem under attack. I never meant for it to be personal and I'll tone it down a bit.

No Soup for Me! Next....
