Just a little quibble on the items I think up of. I tend not to go for the power factor, but for the fun/roleplay factor. One of my favourite ideas is still the Squirrel Staff, where the target must make a save or be polymorphed into a squirrel when struck.

The current solution still suffers from two flaws:
(1) It will also remove other combat protection, which is no good.
That is why it is called a gamble.

(2) It does not remove the Certain ToB Weapon protection, as it's an item effect.
What if I phrase your reply as such? "It forces you to equip a certain ToB weapon".

(2.5) It's... unstylish. Jan will disapprove.
Pretty sparkle effects then?

How about, instead of going the "Breach and then" route, you try messing around with "Remove Effect : Death Ward"? It should be possible... and it shouldn't be complicated.
Nah, I want the consequences to be dire. This is a weapon from a pissed-off Goddess.

The collateral fallout from using "Breach" does, however, indirectly address my point about the weapon being too balanced for the story. Although that wasn't it's intent. Having all of one's combat protections stripped on a single roll of the dice makes using the weapon more of a gamble.

Edit: Goodness, I need to type faster or something.

If anybody needs their item uploaded, feel free to contact me. My homepage is quite empty right now...

Let me add something to that idea you've got there, Annatar...

What about an Ironworks merchant mod selling all these wonderful items? I think there should be somebody in the Umar Hills or the Temple District selling something useful. IEEP has the storemaker option, and I've played around with it, as well as a few items and spells of my own. (Ranger gauntlets! Wizard Slayer helmets! Irenicus' Sadist Leathers of Constriction! (scroll for it) Because I just had to do it! )

I wonder how hard it would be to take a cat avatar, name it Chocolate, and have her (him?) sell/buy/ID items.

EDIT: As for Tymora's Gamble, why not a save penalty of 2 on hits for both user and target, as well as being nonfunctional with that certain ToB item? (Since I don't know what that item is--and don't want to be spoiled on it--have you thought about prohibiting the morning star from certain classes to prevent its use with that item?

NOT USABLE BY WILD MAGES??? SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!

I'm surprised that nobody's pointed out that any serious Tank will have a field day with this thing: Their Saves will shrug off the Disintegrate, Flesh to Stone, and Finger of Death, and their Magic Resistance may very well block the Maze. If they're a pure Warrior, who cares about being Breached? And if they've been using the FoA, they'll have those weapon points already sitting in Flail, right where they want them.

I would make it a Staff: Much less likely to be used by a Tank, and Wild Mages would have a ball.

It's not about hit points - it's about saves. Since in the late stages of SoA (and there's no way this is a early/mid stage weapon) enemies tend to make their saves about 75% of the time, the effects are quite problematic. On the other hand, it keeps the weapon from being over-the-top powerful - which is a good thing.

Alson was talking about enemies making their Saves, not the user. Although I did goof when I mentioned the Tank's MR blocking the Maze, since the weapon nullifies MR (each time it's swung, as a matter of fact).

What about this:
1% chance Breach, lower Magic Resistance to 0% for one second and Flesh to Stone is casted on the user
