Romance with Jaheira (*sigh*) SPOILER!

G'day again people,

Quick question; After really kicking in the romance with Jaheira (ie after you've killed her mentor *forgot his name*) is she supposed to be bitten by Bohdi??? Or is that something that only happens with Aerie and Viconia????

If you are romancing somebody--ANYBODY--and the romance is going strong, Bodhi will take them. If you think you're in love with Jaheira, and Bodhi did not turn her into a vampire, then your romance is broken, probably due to a bug in the Jaheira Romance. What a big flippin' surprise.

Dermin Courtierdale is part of Jaheira's QUEST--NOT her Romance. (I'm doing my best to emphasize the difference, as some people just don't get it.)

Ok, at least now I know there has to be a bug, and as you say "What a surprise there!!"

But I just want to say, sorry about connecting the quest of Dermin with her romance. My only reason for logically putting them together because I believed without her quest you'll never get the romance. Point me out if I'm wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to argue with you, rather just pointing out why I said what I said.

This whole romance with Jaheira is one of the few aspects (excluding the use of mods) that I have had the chance to run right through. It's annoying that this part is so frustrating to get right.

But again thanks for your help. Obviously it's back to square one.

You are correct--Jaheira's Romance cannot truly begin unless you have Xzar's quest, which is the trigger for Jaheira's Harper quests as well. But if you want to see what plot elements are part of her Quest, and which events are part of her Romance, just keep her in the party and don't Romance her.

I, personally, have *never* seen the end of her quest OR her romance, and it's not for lack of trying. Nowadays, I just tell myself that if I can get to the fight with Galvarey, that's enough to get me what I want, and then anything after that is just a bonus.

Now I'm extremely curious - even after patches & days of (gametime) waiting & hours of (realtime, leave on pause for a while, go do something else, unpause, pause again, etc.) waiting just to see what I missed before I patched, the most I've ever gotten was the fight with Galvarey. What did I miss out on & did I miss a trigger (beyond game time & real time)?

You've already passed that point, even if you don't know it--after meeting Galvarey, you'll be further along in her Quest before you'll run into Dermin.
