Hello folks! I'd appreciate if you could help me:
I didn't take Lothander seriously and now he's only crying that 'we'll all die', which is true but I would first like to finnish. So is there now any other chance to get rid of that poison in my veins than cheating with the potion? If not, then what's the potions item code? (I didn't find it on any item lists...)

Also, If I now start BGII and import my BGI character, will the poison still be there and kill my ranger in BGII?

Oh and also one other thing...
how do I learn new spells with my ranger? He's book is 'lighted' but there are no 'white squares'. Why? Does he have too lousy stats not to be able to learn anything or do I do something wrong?

Unfortunatly the only solution to the BG poison problem is to finish the quest and get the antidote. The antidote only works if the quest is solved so to finish the game you'll need to reload a saved game. If you export your character they won't be poisoned as it is a game varible not a character varible. The reason your ranger can view the priest spell book is that once he reaches level 8 he can start casting Druid spells. This won't happen in BGI but does happen in BGII.

Oh no, so I'll never get to finnish BGI (as I don't have any good saves)... But they say BGII is better anyway so I might as well continue from there, sigh...
thanks for answering!

It doesn't take long to finish the quest, if you know where to go. Look for a good walkthrough. It shouldn't take you more than a couple of BG hours, if you're already in the city.

There is a way to cheat and cure yourself of the poison, this is the code: CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("PartyCured","GLOBAL",1)

By the way, If you have TOTSC installed your Ranger will be able to get priest spells in the end.

Also, I recommend trying to finish BG1 anyway, the end is very cool imo.

SPOIlER BELOW:

There is a way out of everything, without using cheats. My hariest moment was when I was doing the Wolfwere island quest. I didnt realise I had to get back in time as I was infected, and that I wud change to a Wolfwere, kill my party and die in hte process. I had to load an old-ish save, maybe 1hour before, and speed through the quest. In the end, it came to me completing it around 2mins before I wud be turned.
