I've been using firefox for a little while, and it has become obvious to me that things actually are cached, but where is it stored? I've tried searching for files which definately seem to be cached, but can't find them...

Documents and Settings\'your profile name'\Application Data\Phoenix\Profiles\Default\'some random directory name'\Cache
it's hidden though, so make sure you can view hidden and system files |

In any case, even if you find them, you will not be able to make sense of it. The cache system used by Firefox is quite unique and the files can't be viewed by double clicking on them.
[edited] IIRC if Firefox crashes, it will automatically empty its caches. Sort of a security "feature" they implemented but so far this feature has been a pain in the ass for me. [ 05-22-2004, 12:29 PM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ]
