Sorry if I offend or take this in completely the wrong spirit, but I kind of resent children being used for jokes that they don't know about, much less children of a third world country put on display for the amusement of people they will never meet. Dance little boy, dance.

Each to his or her own. When I look I don't see pain or tragedy Ilander - I am not a monster though, I recognise pain and tragedy in many things in Iraq, and not just at the terrible extremes like the prison torture pictures. Your reaction is valid and I recognise that, but my view is that your high ground complaint is out of proportion in this case.

And for those wondering about the story regarding this photograph, Snopes has some more detailed background info.
While the original (?) message on the sign was done in bad taste (my thoughts on it being similar to Ilander's), the photoshop-versions with football-comments are relatively harmless and light-hearted.

Thanks George Lake for the added info, and with the Snopes photos I can agree with you 100% Ilander. "That" caption is offensive. If you have seen the original photo before and seen it shopped about in many many forms then you will associate anything and everything with the original. In that light I see your point a whole lot better.

I still hold the view that if you didn't know the history that Groj posted then the photos posted here were rather innocuous and didn't deserve such a response, but I am betting you knew about the originals. Am I right in that?
