When i first entered the game with my beast master my familiar was a psuedo dragon do they get better like lvl up or grow in size or gain abilities???

We wished it did. It does in Neverwinter Nights though. And no one has made a MOD yet that makes familiars more useful.

Sorry to tell ya that the little fairy/psuedo dragon and the Quasit (or the little red imp) are about the best familiars in the game, though they don't have as much use as one would hope. Sorry bud.
