1. Zork (the game the started it all)
2. Bards Tale 1 3. Dungeons of Daggorth (TRS-80, if anyone remembers that) 4. Sim City 5. Starcraft I've enjoyed many others, BG series, NWN, the NHL series, but none compare to those five. They may be old and ugly today, but they were cutting edge for their time back when games had to have a good story, because the graphics were weak. I doubt many of these titles even hit the top 50, but the experience was unlike anything today. Sure todays games are great, but hardly revolutionary.

My list is: 1) Doom (1 and 2), I'ts eternal love. 2) Baldur's Gate series. 3) Alpha Centauri (with mods so I can skip all the good for nothing factions, I like world peace). 4) Myst Series (Riven is the best). 5) Heroes of Might and Magic series (Include King's Bounty, but exclude Heroes 4).

In no particular order:
Dungeon Keeper Metal Gear Solid Baldur's Gate 1 Deus Ex FF8 There have been a few others that I've liked, but those are the most memorable... Starcraft really should be up there too. So should Battle Realms, Heroes of Might and Magic III is also close, but not quite a favourite. Edit, these miss off my fav megadrive games... which would be: Landstalker, Super Hydel, Rocket Knight Adventures 1&2, Rings of Power and a couple of others... Surprised I still remember their titles :| [ 08-20-2003, 07:19 PM: Message edited by: Calaethis Dragonsbane ] |
