I was just wondering how everyone completes the Slaver Compound Quest given to you by Hendak....I always used to go through the sewers and up into the Compound, but then I tried going through the door in the Slums area and found it a lot easier due to a few well placed Fireballs and Cloudkills!!

IMO, it's best to go through the sewers, whilst the front door is good for solo sorcerers/mages. (the small doorway down to captain Haegan is a hell for tanks.)

i allways go through the sewers and out the front door, i find it a pain to go through that small doorway.. you have to move your whole party through while archers and the cleric blast at you.. and my ranged people ALLWAYS seem to go through first and block the door from my tanks lol. The game was ment for you to go through the front doorway though, because one of the people near the front says "Captian Haegan will give a gem to the first one who kills them!" or something when he sees you.

I just found that it was easier to send in a couple of area effect spells into the room at the top of the Trapped staircase to soften up the mages there, and then a lot of the times some of the guards in the room next to the sewer entrance come along the corridor where the two children are imprisoned....this just usually leaves the captain alone where he is pretty much helpless against my team!

i don't have a always, i'm pretty likely to go either, mostly cause i don't always go straight through the slaver quest, sometimes i free hendak and then do other things before freeing the slaves. in that case i'm much more likely to go through the front door
