I have a party of 5 (not the TV show) that are all lvl 9-11. It includes Nalia, Minsc, the old fumble fingered paladin, that bossy harper/druid widow lady, and my own noble thiefy self. I'm pretty weak in the magic dept. and keep getting my head twisted off. Does anybody have any good tactics besides "run away! Run away!"?

with a level 9-11 party it is hard to take on the twisted ruins goons...
if you have the ring of the ram... you could use a tactic sixofspade has come up with for the twisted ruins... but that tactic will not help you I think... because you are downright just to low to take on those guys (it is considerd the hardest battle in the game..  )

The crazy thing about it is that the second time I tried it I almost beat them. A dispell magic and neg plane protection disappeared and the pit fiend soaked up all the baddies spells. i had just about won and a confusion spell sent my character right into the pit fiend which killed me before any help got there are I could cast any heal spells. Since then I have gotten royally toasted. NowI have just run away

try to drop some traps before triggering them, Keldorns true sight and dispel will be extremely useful, basically take out the beholder and the vampire first, (ie hit them one at a time, and destroy them as fast as possible (the sunblade is useful here)) the others you may need to hide and wait for their spells to end.
