whats the deal? all it shows is dragon fire, i click on it, and it wont scroll!

"Dragon Fire" is the default icon on it...I assume you have an invokable trait already, such as "Cloak of Night" or "Evil Eye"? Only a few traits are actually invokable that way.
If you are trying to cloak and can't get it to work, the patch may solve the problem. It may be a problem with the OS as well (I've heard a lot of problems with Win 2K on the interface buttons and towns). -Sazerac |

No, im trying to use the arcane lore trait to idenfity items in my inventory, how do i get it to work??

You have to have arcane lore AND artifacts -
click on the item you wish to indentify - this opens a new window with information about the item - at the bottom there is an icon looking like a question mark - click on it to identify the item. How high your skill is will determin which items you can and cannot identify. Wyv |

Like what Wyvern said...All "Arcane Lore" gives you is the ability to train the skill "Artifacts", which for some odd reason you can't automatically get until you train 1 level in it at a guild, then you can start adding points to it. There's several traits like this: "Cloak of Night" lets you train the skill Stealth, "Occultism" allows you to train "Enchant" skill, "Cabalism" lets you train "Blessing" skill, "Blacksmith" allows you to train in "Forge", etc.
