Did anyone make a sequence I showed in subject?
Because I've got an interesting thing - this warlock can't learn sun magic
Anyway, with his elements of spirit and vine he is a good mage.

Only Wizards and Samurai can learn Sun magic and Zen master but this role is only offered at the end of the game. Once you get your high level spells in present magics you could go Samurai and gain use better weapons and armor.

I have a priest -> paladin -> samurai -> warlock character. So he has all magic except stone. Luckily my wizard -> samurai -> ranger -> monk -> warlock does have stone: I made the last switch just in time to learn lavawalk before I'll need it in Skull Castle. (Note that I'm playing with three characters, and with double Xp per character I gain levels pretty quick. )

carg- when you switched paladin to samuri did he lose crusade or noble cause traits?
I made all my folks paladins temporarily to get these [thought 2x experience for killing undead is good ] and wonder if they disappear when you switch

To Annoyed,

Once you have a trait it is always there. i made my warlock into a paladin to get Crusade, then switched her to assassin before skull castle. Just a pity she was the only one I could do that with. The others had all been through the paladin role in acquiring spirit magic much earlier when crusade wasn't available (damn).

guys gals peoples persons and sir.
start the game all over again with the same crew. I have a lone super girl, all six magics, and almost all the skills are at the
(12) maximum. socery and leadership are the
only two that have not been maxed, only because there is no way to train those skills. keep swiching around untill you have
all magic.

Sorry, I wasn't right. This warlock can't learn sun and stone magic as well.
So, warlock gives you only MOON and FIEND elements... what a pity.
Btw, I've made another experiment:
Warrior -> Samurai -> Ninja
And now he has only sun and moon magic, but my
Thief -> Ninja -> Assassin has got fiend part also.
So, we in this way we can see the difficult laws of the game

Igor: You said your Thief (Rogue?) -> Ninja -> Assassin had Fiend "as well" -- you mean he had Fiend and Moon? You seemed to imply that he had Sun also, which isn't possible (unless your "Thief" was a Wizard, I suppose... ) I've got a Rogue -> Ninja -> Assassin too, he's my 2nd strongest Moon caster and the party's Traps/Locks guy.

Stop my speculation here if I'm wrong: Is it true that, if you change class, you can still use all magic that you know at that time, but can only continue to learn that area of magic if your *new* class can also do so?

Yes, my Rouge -> Ninja -> Assassin has MOON and FIEND parts of magic.
No sun
But all this happend in W&W with no patch installed. May be you have installed it first and then chose Ninja?

On your last question:
- you still can learn un-native spells but only up to the half of your proper craft level (exception: warlocks... and zenmasters, of course)

Finally to this thread: I wonder very much that warlock-role gives you only moon and fiend magics, instead of pack of sun, stone, moon and fiend So, sun and stone especially are really rare and therefore really important in the game.

Gaunty,

Did you have problems with advancing your super character once you recieved 18+ on all your attributes? I haven't gotten that far but I'm coming close. I heard there was a bug with the Ninja class where the Ninja could not even advance because his/her attributes were all at or above 14!
