In the Alpha Centauri system, a small scouting fleet from the local garrison on the outer(fourth) planet suddenly detects a large cloaked ship signature, a HUGE one, five seconds later all contact is lost with the fleet, all scouts sent to discover the fleet's fate are lost as well.

All system defenses designed to keep out intruders are destroyed by some unknown force, the path is clear for the Martian forces all the way to the 2nd planet which contains that which they seek.....

Having returned from his routine inspection of the forest, Sir Legolas hurries to the makeshift courtroom, where everyone of importance is present, or will arrive shortly. The barkeep/judge Olsan is already present, as noone seems to be interested in his drinks at the moment. A lot of crew members are watching the room from screens near their stations.

When Olsan decides it's time to start, a guard presses some buttons and the doors close.
He was happily telling the dearly beloved why htey were gathered, when he heard a voice from somewhere, whispering 'Psst! The other ceremony'

"Your Honour, I have been wrongly accused of this heinous crime. The Evidence that they speak of is circustantial, I found it down in the bathing area. I was going to take it to the collections office later on that day, but as you can see I was apprehended. If you only check the roster you will see that I was on duty with my fellow gunner's V'censa and Billy Ray, further more if you check the system log's you will see that I was linked up with the weapon's system's. After all that is what I do, I enhance the power of normal gun's to twice ther capacity by re routing the neuron's in the posi receptor's to react at higher blast capacity, in other word's I can overclock certain fire arm's and artillery. I am innocent in the murder oof the janitor, I have been wronglly accused and detained for a crime I did not commit, plus if you look at the entry wound of the knife on the janitor, I wouldd have to have been on my knee's to do it. I am six feet and 8 inches tall, the entry point is at just above three feet.

Sighs, hopeful looks and disbelief that it would be over so soon all crossed the faces of the crew as they watched the screens.

"Right, ehr... well, I'm kinda confused as to what we should do now? Any ideas, advisors?"

V'CENZAH (Snaps upright to attention) "Sir, if the Commander please, I would like to offer in evidence the readout attached to my Action This Day Report, showing continuous high output fire from Weapon 3a that Geevous was manning, showing that he had to be there. If a hologram could do that, we should not need gunners."

"Yeah, what the lady said" piped up Billy Ray, "He was there I'll vouge for that, no hologram could emit the same smell he does" A burst of laughter erupt's from some of the officer's ORDER, order in my Court Olas yelled as he banged his gavel, he thought to himself that he could really use a drink right now.." There will be no more outburst's in my chamber's, From now on you will only speak unless spoken to. Is That Clear" The room quieted....

The martian ships' giant long-range teleportation devices kick in and teleport them the rest of the way to the Alpha Centauri system, they arrive in orbit around the 4th planet from the sun.

The incident took me a week's time to deal with... thus for the terran behmomth escaped. hmm... nothing is coincidence, I didn't know Choco is in league with the tearrans... or he was used by some other foul party in the play... I will find out... my Dark Queen can not be stopped!!
