Yup good trip and whatever. Don't choose me as fill-in DM if you don't want what was discussed in the MSN chat...

Merry Christmas to you to Cal, glad you are getting to go back to Canada and have some fun

I will be posting today, hopefully now...hopefully before you move the game on.

Cheers

Ross

Hmm. Since we've reached our second thread, I'm going to review this game so far - to see how far its strayed (or met) its original concept.

The original concept was to: produce a stereotypical tongue-in-cheek, light-atmospheric game - and poke fun at it, all in good tastes of course

As to why – I’d toyed with making it on a whim for close to a week, finally shrugged and gave it a shot, knowing that I’d be gone for three weeks within a couple – and to my immense surprise, it worked out and thus far has been successful, in no small part to the players who’ve made it this way, although some have posted less then anticipated…

The party consists of a paladin, ranger, healer, warrior, thief and mage - pretty much the traditional setup, which is good (well, Aeriah's a monk, but that counts as a warrior, imo)

So far, the original concept of a storyline has consisted of a: mystical stereotypical medieval kingdom, a spell/curse over the land, a quest, a hooded mysterious figure, an enchanted forest and an ancient being and the caster of the spell dwelling in a mountain.

Close to the objective now, part I of the story is almost complete, as the party prepares to face the caster of the spell… Part II shall follow shortly afterwards, and then the conclusion of the story – although, two of the players have pressed for a sequel. All in all, so far, I think its gone well and I’m pleased with it. Once this is over, I think I’d enjoy DMing a sequel, though some input on how you players feel so far about the game would be welcome, both over msn and here. Any suggestions, constructive criticism or comments are welcome. At this point, a sequel, if the rest of the game processes smoothly, would be more then possible. If you lot say if you're interested, and those who do, I'll begin work on a storyline. - So its in your hands guys (and girls).

Cheers,

CD.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game. I would like to see additional interaction between player characters. Honestly, I was hoping for a sequel. I’d be disappointed to see the story end. The Ugly Troll has a little of everything, I believe: adventure, betrayal, romance, and friendship. Twists to the story are nice, as are unpredictable outcomes. As far as the sequel, would new players or NPC’s be added, or are we going to keep pretty much the same party? (I suppose that depends on how the story turns out as well as player interest). I would like the opportunity for more interaction with NPCs (merchants (traveling or local), spell casters, priests, trainers, champions, drunks in taverns, etc.) Perhaps this, however, is just an issue for me since I joined the game relatively late. Other than that, keep up the fun. I’m having a blast!

CD: If you need any help coming up with possible story lines/material, or would like some, please let me know. I can get creative.

Well, as to NPC interaction, since you missed the start, you missed the "village" that everyone began in, and thus, all the "common" NPCs - you also missed meeting the tree, so...

But, I'll bear your offer in mind .

I didn't say that with a single word. You see, I'm already campaigning for a sequel.
