If only DC didn't depend on expensive Microsoft software for compiling, then I could try to help out on the coding side, too (although I wouldn't be able to guarantee my coding )

LurchBrick and Tarlanon are both interested in moving away from MFCs to OpenGL or another library. But, I haven't heard anything on this lately.

I think we all want to move away from being MS dependent, but it's such a huge task that it will probably wait until after 1.0.

I've been tinkering away with OpenGL, as Manikus mentioned, and have come up with a a dungeon that at least looks like a standard DC view. The trouble is in working out how to get it integrated into DC. Now that I'm on Christmas holidays, I'll have more time to try and get this to work.

Just don't expect anything soon.

Yeah, microsoft and the dependance on older (not supported anymore?) technology, and yet there is no easy conversion
