Humans....

Now onto a bit less complicated matters....
The old UA (or at least mine did) had this option of Humans switching classes (I wound up with a Human Magic-User/Fighter.) Does DC have a feature like this?

Oops, forgot something. Sorry about that folks....
Is there any way of switching icons and/or pictures of PCs in game automatically?
And does anybody have a outside combat graphic of desert type terrain?

Re: Humans....

Humans can switch classes in DC.

It is most probably possible to switch icons in game via GPDL script (you may e.g. use a logic block event), but I haven't tested yet if it really works properly (perhaps Silent Thief or Manius know more about that).

Theoretically, you can switch PC icons. I've seen the code and a brief explanation of this. But, I have to say theoretically because I've never tried it.
SilentThief?

Re: Humans....

I've not been able to figure it out, and haven't been given any answers about it when I asked. this is on a (long) list of stuff I gotta check out when I get the ability to be a developer.

Do you mean when you gain the coding skills, or when you request to be part of the team over at SourceForge? :D:D:D

Re: Humans....

well, I cannot code until I get the proper environment ($$ is the hold-up), after that I can do a lil programming (trying out stuff and seeing what works, haven't yet actually been "taught").

I, fortunately, was able to acquire the proper environment from my school. (Legally, of course, they have a license for many, many users and can add more for just a few bucks- the benefit of dealing in volume.)

I'll sign up right now, but I can't do much good until I get the program to, er.. program ;)

BTW, what is the proper program, again?
