The funny thing was, there were so many Skeleton Warriors, he could not Death Spell them all. Besides, there were still 4 Planetars which are immuned to Death Spell( being gated creatures, not summoned). One of the fastest fights I ever had with Jon Irenicus.

You did you summoned so much anyway?
Using the projected Images trick, and rememorizing with the help of the Wish spell?

Yup! Skeleton Warriors last for 8 hours, which was why I could have an army of them, but not Planetars which only last about 2 minutes.

~~ADD] Besides, it was cool because I finally get to use the line to myself,

"You and what army?"

I really dislike the 5 summon limit, it makes no logical sense.

LOL!
And about the summon limit - you are correct, it makes no sense, but just think how easy the game would be without it - you could summon an army each fight, suffer NO injuries, and still get the XP and the items...

PS...
Why are we the only two who post here?!

Maybe because your questions have been answered already?

Anyway, if I had a choice, I would make the summoning limit based on the caster's level, maybe 1 summon for every 4 levels per caster( based on the logic that you can control more as you level up). So if you have a level 8 caster and a level 12 caster, they can summon a maximum of 2 and 3 summons respectively.

Opinions are always welcome.

Anyway, by now i've picked:
Timestop (Imroved Alacrity)
Chain Contingency (Summon Planetar)
Wish (Dragon's Breath)

Six, ALL the 10th level spells (the Mage's High Level Ability picks, except the extra spells) are actually considered as a 9th level spells - they take level 9 slots! How rude!
Thus, if at level 18 i choose Timestop as a spell, and Improved Alacrity (assuming sorcerer, but also true for mages) as an Ability, and i have 3 casting of level 9 per day, and i'll cast Timestop, i will be able to cast two more Timestops or Improved Alarcrity.
Simple, eh?
Actually, Alson, I was talking about the Sorcerer's learning power, not casting power. My question was, "Is it possible for a Sorcerer to know 5 Level 9 spells AND 5 Level 10 spells, or just 5 spells from Levels 9 and 10 put together?

And incidentally, I don't mean to disparage Sorcerers, but to me it looks like they're not that different from a simple Conjurer. Except for being able to cast True Sight and not having to choose their spells the night before, Conjurers have just the same amount of casting power and don't have to worry about picking spells.

Thats what I used to think until, I actually gave a sorceror a whirl. I now think they are far superior, more versatile than a swiss army knife .

Sorcerers can learn 4 level 9 spells( due to the ToB Xp cap), AND ALL the level 10 spells, and they are able to cast 6 times from the entire selection.

MuWahHAHAHAHA!!!!

Nobody can beat the Sorcerer when it comes to on-the-spot versatility of spell usage. The Mage may have a better spell selection, but how many good spells are there per spell level?

~~ADD] To give an example, a Sorcerer can cast one round of PRATI to weaken the opposition with a massive bombardment of counter spells and disabling spells, then in the next round, cast absolute HELL( as in purely direct-damage spells) on the by now weakened enemies.

A Mage cannot do this as efficiently, as he/she cannot change his/her memorised spells half-way through the battle.
