I'm not familiar with Sam Fisher, but to my mind, the question should be, "How would he cope on the hardest level in thief, where you aren't allowed to kill anything?"

The whole point with Thief is that your character is not a superhuman tank. Just one aspect of the total originality of the game is that, not only are you unable to fight your way through everything, but as soon as you get into face to face combat, you've failed.

backstab? a guy with night + heat vision? [img]graemlins/saywhat.gif[/img] he cant sneak behind him, because as soon as soon as he gets near, sam will surgicaly implant a bullet between his eyes.

even if the match up required no technology be used (hand to hand), sam would wipe the floor with him. lets face it, sam seems to be in better physical condition than garret from his stunts (zipwires, climbing, wall kick hang thing).

I agree. And what if sam uses one of those sticky diversion camera's? Place one against the wall and use the distraction feature of it. (A whistle)

The moment Garret gets close to the camera Sam can initiate the knock out gas stored within the compact object. Or simply throw a frag grenade while Garret is searching for the source of the sound.

But Garrett INVENTED the Stealth shooter, so he would tell Sam that, and then shove a flash bomb up his arse, then shoot him with a fire arrow, and haul his ass to the Haunted Cathedral --RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE where the eye is, make tons of noise, drop Sam, and run out!
