as soon as you unequip the SotM you become visible.

has anyone tried hiding in the shadows with the invisibility of the SotM on?

the assassinate special ability allows you to backstab with holy avenger...(can someone confirm this? i've been told it is so, but its not something i've personally tested...)

too bad it only can be chosen once...

unless you're a fighter thief multi...you can pick it many times due to a bug in the class definition...

best backstab weapon is staff of ram anyway...

I've never tried it with Carsomyr specifically, but I have gotten the "your weapon is unsuitable for backstab" message while using the Assassination HLA, so I assume the normal restrictions apply.
