The small Eldar took the gun sights and put them back in the cabinet. He then walked back behind the counter and remained there.
Calaethis looked around before walking up the counter again…
”Hey what you doing?… I asked you a question”.
……
The Small Eldar spoke,
“First of all, this isn’t a weapon store. Second of all I don’t like your attitude. Denying my own kin weapons!? Who do you take me for!? And thirdly, 30 Credits!? Come back when you have a little more than just petty cash. The laser sight is 250C and the Range finder is 750C.”
Calaethis looked at the Eldar is disgust…
”I DO however sell other weapons…Ever since the Ork invasion, all High velocity weaponry had to be surrendered to the PDS, they had a lack of weaponry and took all the firearms they could find in the city’s stores. So all I sell these days is laspistols.”
The Eldar turns around and types on his computer…
”I don’t know why a young Eldar such as yourself would need more weaponry than you already have.”

Calaethis calmly replied "forgive me, like everyone else my nerves are on edge, name you're price then..." the he sighed "oh wait you did already.. ok hows about this then? I work for you for a while? I really need those upgrades..."

The small Eldar put his hands on his face and leaned over the counter. A mumbled voice said.
"Okay, I'll tell you what, you get me a ride off this planet and as payment I'll give you the laser sight. As for the range finder, that's mine unless you manage to scrpae some serious money together. Deal?"

"Right, I'll act as a bodyguard if you like? Are there any other Elder we could save? We shouldnt let any fall to the orcs..." then he sighed "Gather up everything you can carry of value, and we'll go to the star port... maybe we could come back for storage... I don't know, we should head to the star port as soon as possible... agreed?"

The Eldar looked upward from the counter to Calaethis' face.
"Well okay. I guess I'm not going to sell much more *sigh* It'll take me a while to pack everything up plus I have to say farwell to some brethren, so... you go find a ship and come find me when you're ready

Calaethis started to walk across town. He had a vague idea where the Starport is. After all, he coudln't miss it, being a 1/3rd the size of the city and all. Along the way he noticed three Planetary Defense Soldiers and a doctor. He got a little closer...
"Yep you seem fine Soldier"
"No... I can't be.. please say I'm not."
"Er.. well... but your fine"
"He's right, cant you just say we are unable to resume our duty?"
"I'm sorry, I cant do that. The three of you may be a little battle-worn, but other than that you are fully fit."
"NO!"
"You dont know what it is like out there!"
"Come on! Please!"
The doctor seemed to become a little angry
"Listen! You are soldiers! and you have a job to do! get out there and do it!"
with that, the doctor left and the three soldiers held their heads in fear.
Calaethis felt pitty for the humans but also thought of them as cowards. An Eldar would never run and fight another day, they would rather die like heroes.

Calaethis sneered at the soldiers and then at the doctor "Allow me to pass if you please. Now. I have urgent buisness." Then he muttered "Cowards. Why are there cowards in this world?" Then he grumbled. And went into the star port...

"Alright then..." Shino Proceeded to follow the man into the inn... hoping for a chance at an oportunity for a ticket off of the planet... He was prepared to pay any price... unless the guard decided to get a drink for everyone in the joint...

Calaethis got some pretty nasty looks as he did so, but being an Eldar, he continued walking, head up high.

As Shino entered the Inn, the barkeep spoke “hey you there, are you a pilot?”
Before Shino could reply the guard said,
”It’s alright, he’s with me”.
Shino and the guard sat down at the bar. The barkeep said,
”So Whatcha wanting den?”
The guard ordered some Imperial Strength Black Brew.
”And for the Eldar?”
Shino wasn’t to sure of Human alcohol so he said,
”Er... the same”.
Soon enough, the barkeep displayed two Black Brews. He then held out his hand and said,
“4C thanks”
The guard pointed to Shino. Shino pulled out his money container. He had 250C and didn’t mind paying a mere 4C.
Shino took a gulp of the thick brew and nearly brought it back up.
“Heh, good isn’t it”, the guard smirked. “So then, you were saying, you needed a pilot?” The guard looked around the Inn, hhmm… that man over there is a good pilot, but no doubt expensive”. He pointed to a lone man sitting at a table in the corner. “Er… That pilot over there maybe be crazy enough for the job”. Shino looked over to see a Man and a large Ogryn sitting either side of a table. “I bet he would be cheaper as well, but then again he’s not one to be trusted. The rest of these pilots are dead men. No talent, in-experienced losers". The guard took a big gulp of his brew. "Oh by the way, the name’s Reeves".

Just then a rather loud siren went off and everyone in the Inn ran outside.
”Come on! Follow me!” the guard yelled.
Shino slammed his drink down on the counter and followed the guard outside.

Calaethis went with the flow of people. He spotted another Eldar and asked,
”Hey what in SAIM-HANN is going on!?”
The other Eldar spoke, “An update! An update!”
Calaethis didn’t know what he was talking about but followed everyone anyway.

Everyone in the city gathered around a massive pole… Everyone was dead quiet, as if waiting for something to happen, and just like that a huge holographic projection appeared in the sky. It was a female newsreader.
”We have just horrible pictures... The 21st Harvest Wind have been defeated!... I repeat, the 21st Harvest Wind have been defeated!”

The shocks on everyone’s faces said a thousand words.

“The Eastern front has all but been annihilated!”
The news update then showed the 21st Harvest Wind in action, being overrun, dieing infront of the camera and soon anough a massive Ork Power-Claw ripped the camera man to shreds and destroyed the camera...
the graphic scenes were too much for most of the City people to cope with and they left in shock and fear.

“The Orks, fortunately, have also taken heavy casualties and so It is estimated that it will be a while before they push forward, but it is advised that everyone leave the planet as soon as you can”..
