I liked Galactic Battlegrounds. It's really cool in that you can play during different time periods, and 6 armies are included. I had not played AOE, so it was the only time I had played such a game. Enjoyable -- just don't spend too much time playing as the gungans.
Battlefront is neat. It's not deep or great, and the game has some innaccuracies in calculating your firing (as in -- you'll look like you are shooting someone when you aren't). It is fun to get a FPS view of Hoth or Endor. It's also neat that you can run and commandeer a snow speeder (though flying it is much harder than in other games -- such as Shadows of the Empire). It's not going to be the best game you ever play, but worth a try. Jedi Outcast gave me a headache once I started using the LS (and got kicked into 3rd Person view). For that reason, I haven't played Academy yet. |
