I disagree.
I have a female Human Ranger at about 17th level. She is Bow 93, and Polearm 76, with 62 STR and 75 SPD. Ranged Criticals are good, but very random. She will shot anywhere up to 4 times a round with a bow for about 20 Damage, but... using the polearm ( 9-33 damage, forget name ), she hits up to 3 times for about 75 damage. Of course she gets alot of bow use also, but I find having her also specialize in close combat weapons has saved me alot by adding some power to killing enemies with 200+ hp. |
