I liked the first two, and expect I will like the third. With ewoks and gungans, I try to remember that they are children's movies as well.

The story of AotC, BTW, was more complex than any done to date. Oh, well, I've railed on this before, I just get sick of armchair writer/directors.

Your Gungan hate I understand but what's wrong with Ewoks?

What I have read is that Anakin kills Amidala, he gets angry at her for going with Obi Wan on an chokes her and throws her away, she gets injured and dies while giving birth to the Twins. There is also a HUGE space battle over Coruscant, one that makes the other look like a skirmish... ie lot of cg

I don't expect much, Episode 2 was good, I didn't have any expectations for it because before Episode 1 I spent about a whole year waiting for it and reading every little snippet of information about it on the internet... and my expectation were Gigantic... and I have never been so disapointed when I finally saw it... thanks to Jar Jar... so I wowed I'd never wait for a movie with such... intensity for a lack of a better word... again

Sure there is; read through the script, see that it stinks, and don't take the part (I realize that it is more difficult than that, but you cannot completely exonerate the actor when they read the script beforehand and took the role anyway). The dialog in both movies was so bad it actually jarred me out of any suspension of disbelief. And what is worse is that I wanted both of them to be good, but after the first one I was walking in skeptical about the second one, and was still disappointed.

I saw the first two in the theater (the second one only because my friends almost literally drug me to it). The third I will watch once HBO gets a hold of it.

Question Mark

<font color = lightgreen>I expect about 3 trips to the bathroom from <font color = white>TJ</font>. Too much information, I'm sure.....

I don't expect anything past the popcorn being hot and the drinks being cold. If I go in with anything else, I'll simply be disappointed. I will keep my figners crossed, though, that this episode will be better than the previous two.</font>

I expect George Lucas to rip off his loyal fans yet again. Apart from that, the usual stuff like Lighsabre fights, Jedi powers, explosions (digital kind) and a lot of people (or digital characters) getting killed. Did I miss anything?

Unless George Lucas decided to throw in some last minute surprise like, "OMG! Jar Jar Bink IS Darth Vader! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh My Goooooooood!".

That'd be funny

Anyway; I don't expect too much of SW 3.. I just laughed when Yoda when lightsaberin' with Count Dooku, because it was too absurd to be true. Anakin was cool though, and I really liked his character development (some overacting though).

I remember hearing somewhere that George Lucas expected the third movie to be the less-liked one, because there's much psychology in it. Then again: Coruscant must be destroyed, Amidala must die and Palpatine must seize power, so there's lots to happen

Coruscant won't be destroyed, it's the seat of the Empire's power during Palpatine's lifetime, and the seat of the New Republic in the books, it's also been well documented that Obi Wan drops Vader into lava, ensuring his need for cybernectics and the helmet/suit for survival.

There's also no indication that Amidala will die (Leia was old enough to remember her in the holy trilogy).

Palpatine has already siezed power, he's only giving the Republic an illusion of sovereignty while he makes his "emergency powers" permanent, if you'll recall he doesn't actually disband the senate until the beginning of New Hope.

Personally I'm hoping that the movie will be brilliant and vindicate Lucas as a genius, but then I'm reminded of Episode 1&2 (particularly the wooden acting and lack of emotion in the crucial character building scenes of episode2) take a look at X-Men 2, when we see Pyro examining the picture of Iceman and his family in their home, without using any words at all we got a very deep insight into his character, and past, and I know that lucas couldn't pull off that kind of subtlety if his life depended on it. I'm also reminded of both Ewok movies and shudder uncontrollably with horror whenever I do, so in brief I'm hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.
