They probably don't even realise it. I wonder what happened, when I was young, we didn't all dress in the same way and follow new trends.[/QUOTE]you all are so quick to judge people.. so what if someone likes baggy pants and a hoodie? does that mean they are no one but a mindless fashion drone with nothing to say? all of you posting here.. you condemm people by what they wear and say they all look the same so they cant rebel. ive only got one thing to say to all you.. ... i hope i never grow up to be like you. im only 15 f*cken years old, yet i can understand that just because people look a certain way like some other poser people doensnt mean they have no cause, nothing to rebel against.. nothing to fight..... most of you are over twice my age.. so why cant you get it? you have to look past the clothes, the skin, the make up, the fashion. what is this so hard? oppresion from people like you is the reason we fight.... You don't need clothing to be rebel, all those people thinking so are misguided. And if you really want to look different, don't follow trend. Who do you think look different? The guy who wear clothing worn by every rapers in video clip, and that is sold for 100+$ in most big name shops, or the guy who has totally unique clothing, that he got nowhere in particular, but he wear it because he like it? Just go to your school, and take a look at people's clothing. Count every people who wear gothic clothing, count the people who wear baggy clothing, tell me how many of each you can count in a day. Do it in the mall, too. You'll find out that most of the people are clothed that way. As I said, being rebel is not about clothing and look, it's about actions and way of thinking. (put his mod hat) And by the way, watch your language. (remove mod hat)

Oh! And by the way, I'm not saying following trends is bad, do it if you want, but don't think it make you special.

i dont follow trends. ive had my fav. pair of ripped up baggy pants and black hoodie for a while, yet i see kids with hoodies at school, and some with baggy pants. im saying it doesnt matter at ALL what you wear, its what you stand for. people on this topic were complaining about how lots of kids dress alike and they must have no meaning or cause of rebellion. im saying look past that, why do we care so much what clothes people wear? im sick of dealing with people talking about that "if you were these clothes, you must be a follower because everyone has those" so "you have to wear original clothes to rebel". its not about that.

That's the point, you don't need clothing to rebel, that's what I was pointing at, and I also think that was what the others where saying, too.
I was complaining about the people who believe so. I was also complaining about the people not being original.

out of the 500+ people at my school, only about 30 at the most dress the same way as me. everyone else wears abercrombie and fitch, american eagle, or "rap music" clothes. they can dress "goth" all they want and not have anything to rebel against, and thats fine. same goes the other way, someone can dress "preppy" and rebel all the live long day. you dont have to dress different or in a certain way at all to speak out and rebel.
