My question is, where did the alleged beer come from?
Black market, where else?
Hence the reason why they were drinking in the privacy of the Zoo...

The troops in the Gulf ARE allowed to drink beer. I've worked for Heineken, and i've seen the stash that was sent to the gulf for the US troops. By the amount it looked like they had one giant party overthere instead of fighting a war.

Of course that was during the first Gulf war, but why would it be any different now ?

Ja Johnny, Du bist so voll shize die augen ist braun!

Maybe the Ducth troops are allowed beer, Oh wait, there are no Dutch troops there, so you are mistaken.

The only beer I ever saw during DS/S was ALKOHOL FREI. Alcohol free, NEAR BEER, 0.05% content.

The current US policy is no alcohol when in a danger area. PERIOD. So, even thou the NATO troops in the Balkans drink, US soldiers cannot. And we sure as heck cannot drink down range. Unlike you over there in EUrope, we do not drink beer as the choice beverage. We usually drink beer after hours, not at 0900 first break. And I assure you General Order #1 is the no alcohol policy, for I have seen it, read it, touched it and have and will again live by it!

So, go pound your lies somewhere else!

Hey, keep civil. I would figure that the TOS also apply to other languages, so please refrain from swearing may it be English or German.

First of all, i don't know why you type in (very crappy) German when adressing to me. Where i come from we speak another language, so do your homework next time.

And second, i don't lie, so keep your pathetic comments to yourself. Did YOU work at the Heineken breweries for 9 years ? I don't think so.

I did, and i DID work in a hall where there were 20.000 cases of (alcoholic) beer stored on pallets, labeled with a big white sign, that said: For the American troops in the Gulf. Now for some reason i don't believe that those specific cases of beer were meant for our liqorstores, do you ?

Think again before you call someone a liar, Felix the ignorant.

Ever heard of a place called Kut ? No ? Well, that's where the Dutch troops are stationed. And it IS in Iraq, quite a shock eh ?

Once again, do your homework before you start a rant.

Faceman, you are right. Swearing or offending people in other languages (however misspelled ) is against the TOS, because people have been reprimanded for it before,

Besides, Felix, you should think before you accuse someone of lying. Johnny could also simply be mistaken about something.

Edit: Whhooops, I replied before I saw Johnny's answer. Keep it cool guys - don't let the heat outside let you get all worked up! Have a beer!

Sheesh Johnny, relax man! Like I said, grab a beer and don't get all worked up. I'm not accusing you of being mistaken - I know nothing about the subject so how could I say anything about it? I am just saying that before you (Felix, in this case) go accuse someone of lying, you should consider the possibility that a. they aren't lying deliberately, just being mistaken, or of course b. that they are right and you are wrong.
Hey, and what did I just say about no swearing in other languages! Go wash that dirty mouth of yours! (For those who don't speak Dutch, in our language "Kut" is equivalent to your worst four letter word... the c one )
