If it were based on RL then if you got hit in the leg by an arrow you wouldnt be running around! you would be sitting on the grount screaming in pain or at least limping. Look at a first person shooter, if you get hit by 10 bullets without body armour then your not going to be running along blissfully! Your going to be holding your dissembodied leg in your arms!
