"A pearl to you, friend!"

well, just because of that greeting, i've kept every pearl and pearl necklace i've found in the game. i was convinced that surely cespenar could build me something with wicked charisma that made shop-owners open their coffers to me or cause enemies to prostrate themselves on their blades at my feet.

*sad* but no. nothing. such a shame. i really lugged a lotta extra weight with those white orbs.

i know you don't want me feeling like the only idjit in the game. has anyone else collected things in the hope that cespenar would happily build you a One-Time-Use-Only House of Cards or a Ukulele of Grit-Your-Teeth, or something equally non-sensical but fun?

It is a common amnian greeting.

Probably a remnant from the time where it was customary amongst nobility to offer gifts to visiting nobles.

Well, I carried all the powder from the drow weapons from the underdark to ToB. I thought they could be reforged by Cespenar. Needless to say, I was disappointed

I keep things like the keys and stuff, just incase. Then when I reach my Pocket Plane I drop them in one of those containers, but other than that, no.

Sir Sarles quest spoilers within!
.
.
.
...but if you're reading this on the ToB board, meh.

"A pearl to you!" got me thinking about the illithium retrieval from Neb. The wraths of the children die, and as thanks they cast Lesser Restoration on you and say something like, "thank you, I'm free!" Each drop a pearl. A pearl to you.

As for junk-lugging, I carted around de'Traanon's Baalor Ale from the Umar Hills until the very last battle in ToB. I never did the quest involved with it because I didn't know the quest existed. I thought it'd be another hidden item. Nope.

I still have the non-magical weapons from the table in Irenicus dungeon. They actually came in handy in WK.

I hauled the Paintings from Spellhold back to Quataris.....
Tried the "Eyestalk from an Elder Orb" in the Twisted Rune.....
Tried to see how much $ the Cowled Wizards would pay me if I gave them their Asylum Wardstone back.....

etc, etc.

Hmm... I keep every unique item in the game. Armour, weapons, magical items, quest items. Everything.

I only sell off items I know there are several incidences of, such as generic +2 swords and the like. The rest of it gets put into various containers/bag of holding for the more useful items.

Useful if you have the item upgrade mod, and you arent really sure what you need to be keeping. But other than that, utterly pointless.
