I have a real problem-can not open the
portal to go down in the lower levels in Watcher,s tower. tried every thing,gave slippers to priest. How do i open the portal? can not preform the Ritual. Help!!! Ed. |

Do you have the bell and candle already? If you dont, find those. Then go to the altar in the middle of the map. A holy book will be there, so you only have to insert the candle and bell. Then a window will open with options, so choose them in this order:
Ring Bell Ring Bell again Lite Candle Open Book Ring Bell After this, there will be a pretty challenging battle, so be ready. IIRC, the portal should open after this.

Yes i have all the items but can not get
them on the alter. can not even get bell to ring. all items will do is land on the floor and i pick them up again. what am i doing wrong. Ed |

No no, don't, simply get the patch from the sticky thread at the top of the BG2 board page.
