Wow! I'm sorry to hear that, DS. I take it this was unexpected?

You have my sympathies.

It was in a way, but not in another, if that makes any kind of sense. She had kidney failure and had been ill for years, but had been feeling better recently. She hadn't been seen for a while, her door was kicked down to look for her and.. There she was.

Thank you for your sympathy.

I know I have not been here very long, and I am still an unknown. But please accept my commiserations for your sad lass. Expected or not, it is never easy to lose a loved one.

Very sorry to hear about your aunt, Dragonshadow!

Hello and Welcome, Cadfael. Love the name! One of my fav characters!

Wendy, WHOOOOHOOO! So glad about the new job, despite the parking garage thing.. but look at it this way, no scraping ice off your car at the end of the day, right?

Looking forward to a quiet Thanksgiving with my hubby and some shopping...not his favorite thing, but he's got some compensation...we're getting a new tv, first plasma tv in the house! But sheesh, it's twice the size of our old tv! LOL 42 inches!

My condolences Dragonshadow.

My boss of 19 years and my cat of 15 years have both died this month. What a sucky month...year even really for people who have passed away that I have known. Gosh I hope 2008 is a better year!

Tomorrow is my last day at my job of 19 years. So sad will it be to leave and finally drive away. I'm sure I'll be a big crying baby. It's gonna be tough starting over from scratch after working somewhere for that long. It's not natural and really shouldn't be this way. But it is. Yay for me. NOT. Ah well, what can you do? Nothing, but move on. So cry and reminisce and remember I will all weekend. Then come Monday, I've got to just focus foward now, to my new job, and just forget the old stuff, sad as it may be.

I'm sorry to hear your boss finally passed away, LZ. Even though it was really expected, it doesn't get easier. And your cat, too... when it rains, it pours

Good luck on your last day... it will be sad in several ways, but it is a move in a new direction that I hope will be good for you.

Just be sure to stash the kleenex in multiple strategic locations...

Hope it all pans out LZ, I feel your pain! I've been with OSI since 94 and have seen a lot of good people come and go in more ways then one.

DS, condolences, saldy though thats life and does like to have fun at one's expense...

Speaking of expense, just snapped the new toilet in half as I was installing it.. still not done with the tile either...whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ( I knew I should have stayed in the construction field, I might actually achieve a right angle and plumb joints... /sigh

Hope all had happy and worry free Thanksgiving?

Snapped a toilet in half? Dude... you been working out?

We had light snow yesterday for Thanksgiving, all of which is gone today. Still cold, though... freakin' frigid, really Guess I'm not quite ready for winter yet...
