Uhhh, My XBox360 router isnt working......
So, im having this dilema. Im trying to play Halo 3 right, and my router starts blinking red and i lose connection. I tried a few hours later, but now the red light is constantly on when its plugged in. Did i fry it?

This is freaking me out.. I just posted a router issue too. Maybe some bug or something 'went off' today?
Try and unplug it for 10 seconds from power, and plug it back in a wait to see if it goes through its cycling test. |

"Ours" is. We are both connected to the same one. I tried to connect with my ethernet cable to hers', but it didn't help. Maybe her ethernet card is no good? I'll try a hardware test....

From hers, get down to DOS and run
> ipconfig /all | more Look for the IP address... 169.254.xx.xx is bad, meaning no connection. You should see something like 192.168.x.x. If that passes, do the following: > ping www.yahoo.com That should tell you how long it takes to get to Yahoo, or whether you can or not.

Is that the same IP that's in windows, because the guy last night had me check that as well and it was where it was supposed to be; but only in windows.

Yea Z, its linksys, both me and my best friend have tried it now, and it just says it isnt connected.
Im not sure if there are other routers out there, but mine is white and says xbox on it.....is that the only one? I would just go get a new one, but they're like sixty bucks and i dont happen to have that to spare right now, being in between jobs.
