>One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried
>piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. >Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be >covered up anyway; it wasnt worth it to retrieve the donkey. LOL Very true.
![]() God knows i've shaken off quite a load of dirt over the years myself, but i'm still working my way out of that blasted well. Winning the lottery would help a lot.

LOL! and at risk of gratuitous use thereof, LOL again!
Those wells can be deep, johnny, but look at it this way- it just means the guy has to shovel a lot more! ![]()

What happens if it rains and you get stuck in the mud then someone thows cement into the well? Or is that what one calls "complete failure"?

I read something similar in a famous 5 book once IIRC.
Basically, the 5 were trapped in a dungeon that was flooding, and they survived by treading water as the water level rose. Simple physics. |

The ending would have been different if the farmer had a shotgun and decided to use it first...

Dace I think you're completely missing the point(s) here, which are:
1) Life is going to treat you badly, shake off the little things 2)You're going to regret it if you try to do nasty things and then cover them up 3)A joke

Yes, I have read all the posts. Just posting something wacky while I was waiting for my files to be seeded completely.
