under shadows of amn, it takes up to 2 mins for a auto-save to happen between screen-shots. Is there anything I can do to re-set this back to original save speed, its rather frustrating..

Maybe re-installing the game (make sure you move your save games to another location).

buy a more powerful computer!!!!
(just kiddin) try to free more space on your savegame folder, if you have too much savedgame the computer gets a lot of data to read. "my arrowhead welcomes your heart" [img]graemlins/knight.gif[/img]

it takes quite a time for me too
And I have done the full install and has a computer with 2 ghz

This was actually a problem which (hopefully) was resolved with the latest patch. Here:
Throne of Bhaal patches. This patch is a beta so if you are not having any probs they suggest you don't use it just install the official patch only. First install the offical patch then install the beta patch if you have the long load/save problem. Official: 26498 Beta: 26499
