I know it goes elsewhere, but I can't post on the SoA board right now and I want to know this before I go home.
Can someone please spoil me on triggering (1) Jan's and (2) Nalia's (father funeral) NPC quests? Thanks. Sorry Mods, but it's just not working for me over there. |

I think that Jan's happens 10 or 15 days after he joins you. Nalia's happens a few days after you save the keep.

Yep. What is funny when you do like I do and save Imoen, first thing after liberating the Keep, is that like the first free minute that you get after you get out of the Underdark is Isea Roenal jumping your chili and stealing Nalia.

Both quests only occur if you're in Athkatla, btw

Jan's cousin appeared to me when I was fighting Shade Lord in the Amaunator temple... I zoned out, the shade lord talked to me, then right before I could engage him, Jan's cousin appeared, talked, and that started Jan's quest. Weird isn't it ?

Like I said, Kat, Isea Roenall pops up right in the Underdark Entrance, right after the Surface Elves and Elhan are through being disrespectful to Viconia. Then you have to go to Athkatla to get her back. I haven't had Jan in my party in over a year, so I can't say much about his. *Sound of Piestrider mutering in the distance*

I meant the messenger for the funeral only appears in Athkatla, IIRC

Yes, the messenger only appears in Athkatla. The last time I went through, I got Immy before the funeral, so we escaped Isea that time, but the minute I appeared back at my headquartes, the Copper Coronet, , "Miss Nalia? Miss Nalia D'Arnise."
