I am my company's translator/interpretor for basically any language...though my strength is in spanish. I have a word here that I do not know the meaning of, and it is bothering me. I have asked people from Mexico, and they do not recognize the word...so I am thinking it is a slain or maybe cuban...I dunno. Please help.
Berda = ???

It would to help if we knew where you met that word.
It seems to be a name/surname. However, berda is a musical instrument (but I think it is croatian word). See? Nonetheless, somewhere I heard it is a bass guitar about the size of a cello.

and larry, i have absolutely no idea what berda means. nothing in regular spanish, or argentinian or spaniard slang. so im guessing its a slang term used up in the north. or they switched the d for a t, cause berta is a name.

Thanks Rompy... (sorry I never remember your name... ). I just got a thank you note from the lady, with best regards.
This is pretty funny, she got a mail from Argentina to Australia, asked my teacher (who is from Australia) here in Iceland, she asked her students and one of them got it from an Argentine in Spain... Ahh the wonders of the Internet |
