Hmmm... Dunno if that sounds good. I know in the 1950's they added Vanilla (or Cherry juice) to Coke, but I wonder if this will be good? What do you think? I DO like the Pepsi with Lemon sometimes.. I remember going to Mc Donalds and getting a Coke, and it sometimes tasted like Lemon was added--it wasn't, but it just tasted that way. weird. |

Yeah the fountain cokes at McDonalds always taste different for some reason, dunno what they add to it, but they do seem slightly lemmony. Vanilla Coke though? Blech, sounds kinda like an odd combination, possibly too sweet too. I'll try ONE though just for curiosity sake when they come out. LOL, what's next chocolate coke??

Once I had something called Italian Vanilla soda. That was good.
Wouldn't vanilla Coke be cream soda? Or something extremely similar?

I loved Cherry Coke! Vanilla sounds interesting but I wonder if it will be more like 'cream soda' then? I love that too!

WOW!!!! VANILLA COKE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!
I live in a small NC town and the there is a drugstore here that has served vanilla cokes since I was little boy (and that was loooong time ago). I've loved them all my life. My mom used to take me to the drugstore after a visit to the doctor to get a vanilla coke as a reward (that was the closest thing we had to a fast-food restaurant back in the early 70's). For the doubters out there, it isn't like a cream soda...it's just a regular coke with some vanilla flavoring added (just like the cherry flavor they added to cherry coke). Oh...and the thing about McDonald's fountain soda...it has to do with the calibration of the machine. The drinks are a combination of carbonated water and syrup-flavoring. The stronger the calibration, the "sweeter" your coke will taste. (I worked at the local McD's for 6 yrs). Man, first Spiderman...now Vanilla Coke....May definitely looks like a good month to me.
