How do I poison someone's food?

Someone wants me to assasinate the dude in Balmora. I've entered his home through the trap door in the roof.

Please tell me .. How do I poison his food with the treated herbs???

I believe you just drop it on his plate or something, but i haven't done that mission yet......

I have already tried simply putting the herbs on the eggs. To no avail.

There is a cauldron in the house. Click on it with the herbs in your invantory. You should get a journal update message. Report back to the Morag Tong HQ in Vivec when complete.

Not quite as good as the one you get from Various, and combined with the result of Ring Diving near Ald Velothi.
