Lets start with, ok I ain't the sharpest knief in the drawer.
Downloaded the Giants 2.0 mod, dragon add-on, and the patch. I have a custom sys, WIN XP, no previous problems with the game. Get everything unzipped and in place, all the pre stuff yada, yada is good. OK, have yet to find a Giant, or Dragon. Have found pac hound nix, some other new dudes. etc.. However, now my dude seems to jump lower and shorter, takes damage from too long a jump(very rarely took damage before mod), and seems slower. The game overall, does load areas more often, and there is delays when opening doors and chests. I can see criiters in the distant to be mauled, but as I close to them, they evaporate??? Why ME? Do like the "serrapin" a supped up hunger with camo. And the Sea Devil, a odd colored fish with superior abilities. Felix

The Mod is a nice mod when it works properly.
I really enjoyed the mod, started a new career, but found some small things I didnīt like with it. 1. There are nasty monsters everywhere! At later levels you see them gang up and waiting for you to leave the perimeters of a city... 2. Swimming is a danger none would like to take, the world is more or less inhabitable with the giants mod. 3. Mom, I saw a Dragon. Mom it chewed me up!! Dragons are big, nasty and a sure way to hit the reload button... often... 4. Since they match the level to difficulty, I have had never ending battles with thoose damn liches that ended in a cascade of magic effects in absurdum that slowed the game down to a few FPS :S No fun and unplayable. All in all, the mod is nice, cool and alot more things happen in the game. There are some bugs with it, but I think that if the creators can fix some of it it will really be a nice mod! It is however a real pain to install and somewhat "too much" at higher levels. A Daedric shrine guarded by four golden saints, a few liches and well an army of little scamps.. Funny indeed and loads of captured souls ![]()

I like this mod: I'm level 52 and without it I would simply crush anything in my path without any worry... with it I must sometimes fight for my life, and that's fun. Some monsters are really nasty: ever tried a skeleton king or the godzilla-like kraken? ouch, they hurt!
The biggest problem with giants, however, is that your fps tends to drop, especially when swarmed by those bloody nix-hounds. Also I need a golden saint and i cannot find it, only seductresses, glass golems and those things - maybe they overdid and replaced too many of the original morrowind critters.

the giant mod work wonder with wilderness mod and dragon mod. however, there is the ever danger of FPS rate going hirewire and everything when super slow. especially if you try to fight with 6 nix hound at one time.
and of course, there is the danger of doubling as well. |

Well the mod has great potentials, but there are problems.
None of the new creatures can be sould captured for instance which is really really annoying and soemtime IMHO there are just way too many monsters scattered around aimlessly around the towns. I even had a troll follow me all the way into Balmora by hide/sneak/run away/hide again. The guards didnīt take notice and the troll didnīt attack the citizens... So it is far from perfect, but it is fun none the less.

Well I have over 4 hrs of game time with the mod now. Have yet to meet anything more powerfull than I. no trolls, giants, or dragons. Just packs of nix hounds. That cool Saggrin dude, and some more sea devils.
I'm currently level 51, and enjoy mauling whatever comes along. I have the FPS optimizer, but I have yet to figure it out. Other than the slower FPS, and the lag when opening chests, or major doors, it is playable. IMHO can really "Feel" the difference in Acrobatics(loss of). This mod comes with a uninstall program. I might have to use it, and try again. It is possible that I screwed th pooch installing it. Felix

I had the problem with my FPS dropping, and stopped using it.
Likes: 1. Great monsters to afford a challenge for high level characters. 2. You sure can't wander unthinkingly around town, and I like that. (I think the very first second I hit town after installing it I was attacked by a Wild Vampire!) Dislikes: 1. I had to install it manually because, following the directions, it didn't install properly, installing instead to a folder off the data folder called \--GIANTS--. Meh. 2. My FPS dropped to what, for me, were unacceptable levels in some cases. 3. The dragons are great for a challenge, ugly graphically (how do those things fly? LOl!) All in all, I may turn it on later in the game, but it slowed my game down too much, so I stopped using it. |

Manually installed all components, re-started puter. Bam, FPS is doable, all of my critter's abilities seem to have returned to normal, etc.. Have meet some really cool monsters. Giants, herc skeleton, golems, invisibile stalkers etc.. :`( I have yet to find a dragon though. The file is there, it's checked, it loads during game load, I just can't find a dragon. Final warning, if you can not handle 2 Ascended sleepers, 3 bonelords, and a few ash zombies, slaves, and dreamers at the same time, stay away. I feel I have come a long way in this game, and have super human strength, over 400 hit points, and wield a very fast and deadly health absorbing daedric short sword. I have yet to reload, but I have had under 30 HPs left after fighting a single "NEW" monster with this plug-in. I will say, it is G-R-E-A-T. Especially one guy I can't hold back from. He is so huge, that I was literally hitting him in the ankles. Take the time to unzipp all files into a temp folder, then transfer one at a time MANUALLY into the morrowind datafile. I think the auto-install function skips a very important file somewhere. Felix

this is annoying, I'm keep getting ambushed by vampires in Balmora at night. if you installed Rogue mod as well, you'll get ambushed by a few rogues too.
