OK, when I summon one of these, I get told I cannot summon any more, yet I've seen screenshots where 3 and more have been summoned. How?!!?

you can bypass the summoning cap by using a simicurlum or a project image to summon them, they ignore the cap allowing you to summon at will

It also works well if you cast simicurlum with the project image, but my faveorite tactic is to use the wand of monster summoning with the project image.
