Hi,
I started playing this game a while back, but never found a good walk-through/strategy guide, so I've just been going it without. This is fun and all, but I am certain there are many things I am walking right past. I found one guide that was touted as "great," but it was less a guide and more a "do this, then go here, then do that, then talk to this guy..." sort of thing. It would be tantamount to playing the exact game the author played if I followed that guide. Anyway, any pointers to a good one that sort of describes things, but doesn't totally take the fun out of playing? Thanks,

Ironworks has a good walkthrough, but it's kinda lenghty. You can get it at http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks

and at www.gamespot.com here http://gamespot.com/gamespot/guides/pc/baldurs_2/. I usually refer to the one here at Ironworks and sometimes the one from IGN.

I'm with Hayashi on this. Dan Simpson is something of a legend up on GameFAQs for his excellent CRPG walkthroughs. The SoA/ToB one is a perfect example of what published hardcover walkthroughs should be like, and all too frequently aren't.
