Hi,

I started playing this game a while back, but never found a good walk-through/strategy guide, so I've just been going it without. This is fun and all, but I am certain there are many things I am walking right past.
I found one guide that was touted as "great," but it was less a guide and more a "do this, then go here, then do that, then talk to this guy..." sort of thing. It would be tantamount to playing the exact game the author played if I followed that guide.

Anyway, any pointers to a good one that sort of describes things, but doesn't totally take the fun out of playing?

I'm with Hayashi on this. Dan Simpson is something of a legend up on GameFAQs for his excellent CRPG walkthroughs. The SoA/ToB one is a perfect example of what published hardcover walkthroughs should be like, and all too frequently aren't.

I've been pretty satisfied with it. Just about everything is in it, and the stuff that isn't, I just come to this board and ask around.
