Is it just me, or is the natural breath attack ability of the dracon completely useless. Unless it's something I'm missing, there's minimal damage dealt by it. So is there something I'm missing or is it worth my while to rely on steel and leave ranged damage to my magic users?

In the first part of the game I find the breath ability pretty cool sometimes when you face more enemies. In the mid- and late game (after your spellcasters aquired the real 'mass-destruction' magic) it's useless.
BTW, welcome to the board Ben!

It's not completely useless. If you're facing sprites/fairies with a bunch of eye-for-eyes, dracon breath isn't reflected back. At least I don't think it is (can't say for sure because I think it's mostly useless

IIRC, damage is based off your current stamina. That's why consecutive casts without any Rest or Rest All will lead to less and less damage. But yeah, damage for it does seem low. Too bad there isn't a persistent effect like acid cloud. That would make it more than a novelty item.

I just wish Dracon Breath was a bit more useful. I know it's hard to strike a balance between useful and powerful, but it just seems so.. "wasted" ![]()
