Have you got the quest where you need to talk to them?

First time around, I stumbled into his hut by accident without following protocol, and he got agitated...
So I backed out quickly, talked to one of the random 'street' crowd, gave 'em some food, got cleared by the wise woman, and went back. He was still freaking out, but I was able to cast a 'calm' spell at him, which is all it took. Kept me from having to revert to a much earlier save... Oru |

I think you'll get one chance to back off. If you approach him again without following the "chain of command" he'll attack and you're forced to load a previous game.

Well, he was actually hacking away at me when I cast 'calm', so its worth a try if your last save was very long ago...

Yeah, pretty impressive that you are to that point at level 11... Since finishing in a hurry is never important to me, I like to develope a really strong character before going too far with the main quest. My current guy is at level 24, has 100 str, 99 end, 98 agl, and is in the 90s for every thing but per and luck, and I STILL haven't gone to the camp...
