nessie's chest

What all kinds of stuff can be in Nessie's chest? I wondered if I got gipped...the best thing that I got was a divinemail gown. I thought I had seen people saying they get a cool sword (excalibur, maybe?) or something from it. Just curiosity.

I know you can find excalibur and I heard that there is also Murasama Blade but I haven't found this yet.

According to Spydah's site, the Muramasa is ONLY available in the Rapax Queen's chest. Excalibur is available in Nessie's chest, but can't see much else on that level.

what is the rapax queen chest ??
The rapax queen is prisoned in the away camp but there is no chest. there are a lot of cheste in the away camp but none beside the queen
or do you mean the chest in rapax rift where you kill the rapax high priestesses ? i found the divinemail there.

The chest with the Murasama is in the Rapax Castle..it's pretty good.

The Rapax Queen chest was just how it is labelled on spydah's site. In all the months of playing, I've never been in the Rapax Castle.. I get a party up to level 13ish and then try another. I hope that my current one will hold up.

Oh yes I remember
It is in Rapax Castle near a bed in the room from which you get to the teleporter to Arnika.
I found a cameo locket there, also very nice, an amulett AC +4 and other good things.

I have gotten the exact same objects in Nessie's chest every time I have been there - some doom darts, a potion, a Zitzkah Staff/Wand?, and some other cheezy item. Aren't the contents of the chest supposed to change randomly each time you enter the Bayjin Shallows area? Last night I placed a portal at the chest, ran back to Bayjin area, and saved the game there. Then, I would teleport into Bayjin Shallows from Bayjin (supposedly reseting the contents of the chest), open the chest, and when I got the same junk, I would reload the game and repeat the process. I must have tried it a dozen or more times, and each time I got the exact same stuff in the chest. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think that the items in the chest are set the first time that you enter the area, and will not reset just because you entered the area again. If you don't like what you get, I think that you have to reload from before the first time that you enter the area, kill Nessie, etc. (which I'm highly tempted, cuz I'm not too pleased with my divinemail...I really wanted a cool sword or something.) I can't pop a light sword, either, and I've tried so many times that I'm just gonna go on.

@lawdog: You can try that 100000 times. The content are set the first time that you enter.
You save (1)before entering the Shallows step in save again (2) run to the chest. there you hide and the combat with nessie is cancelled. You must survive the combat but it only takes 3 or 4 rounds. Open the chest, if you like it load (2) kill Nessie and take it, if you don't like it load (1) and enter again. It will take some hours but Excalibur is really nice

@armakh: You cannot find the lightsword in that chest. Only the bucaneer ghost drop the lightsword very rare. But it is not so difficult to get like excalibur because what they drop it really randomly. Save before the fight and try some minutes/hours - you will get it. Banish might help you

Wandering around with a fighter having Lightsword and lightshiel is nice
