Was watching ANH on tv ....little thing concerning EpII- confused yet ??

<font color=lightgreen>Ok, the thing concerning EPII was at the end of the movie. There was a little scene with C3PO and R2D2 talking about the skywalker family...

It said something about ObiWan Kenobi... he had alot to do with the Skywalker family... it said he discovered a secret Army of clones, which marked the first battle in what was to become the Clone Wars. It also said that during these wars, Anakin turned to the dark side. It had some footage of this, and it showed Anakin as a teenager- probably only just 16.

Now this tells me- 1) Anakin turns to the dark side in Episode 2.
2) He is a teenage in Episode 2.
3) They havent planned this well-
We know that Anakin "died" in the clone wars- Obiwan said so in ANH. By that time, Ankain had married Queen Amidala, and together they had two children- Luke and Leia (sp ??).
Now, in E2 Anakin is a teenager- he has had Luke and Leia by now. In ANH, Luke is probably in his mid 20s, possibly late teens. Leia is a bit younger. I would guestimate Luke to be 25, Leia to be 18 or 19.

Now, Luke and Leia were separated sometime early in the piece- Kenobi knew of both, neither knew of each other. Anakin wanted his son to have his lightsaber.

Now, this brings to mind several inconsistances-
1) A 16 year old has had two children. He had the first atleast 5 years ago, when he was 11.
2) Why were Luke and Leia separated ?? It should have happened after Anakin turned, by which time for Leia to have been born, Luke must have been atleast 5. HOw is it that Luke didnt know he had a sister if he was 5 when they were separated ??
3) Anakins lightsaber in the preview of E2 is pink... by the time of ANH, its blue.

Luke and Leia are twins I believe. Anakin would have known of his children before he turned, or as he was turned..or he could have slept with the queen, turned, THEN found out about his children and Obi-Wan could have lied to Luke about the lightsaber (which seems likely because the saber wouldnt have been destroyed with Anakin and Obi-Wan would have wanted to present Luke's father in a better light).
Assumptions of course, but its not so unlikely if you take it that Luke and Leia were twins.

Luke and Leia are twins, that was stated by Obi-Wan or Yoda in Jedi.

I'm sure that Anakin must build another Light Saber to finish the tests of the Sith, it is a right of passing. So, he could have been using one that was built by a master, then to become a Jedi/Sith, you must construct your own.

Who says that Anakin and the queen need to be married...He's in his late teens, and she in her early twenties. He's a, well 'nuff said....

I'm sure that with the Jedi council seeing Anakin's tendencies, they wanted to seperate the kids, and we don't know what is going to go on between Anakin and the Queen, that might seperate them in EPII

That's my take, not in order of your questions, but that is what I think.

I wouldn't consider myself a Star Wars geek... I havn't seen any of em more than 4 times (none at the movies more than once). But I do have a theory...

They've already established that E2 will have the romance portion of the princess/anakin relationship (trailer 2 I think).

They'll get together for a one-nighter in E2, then Anakin is turned... and he finds out about Luke (not necessarily in E2, but probably before ANH... because the way they portrayed it later it was like Vadar knew for a while), he didn't find out about Lea until much later (wasn't it at the end of ESB? He reads Lukes mind before dumping him down the airshaft after tryint to turn him and failing).

One thing I thought about that would be VERY cool..

What if Anakin is cloned... and the REAL Anakin actually DOES die. (like Obiwan states in ANH), what a wicked plot twist. Although I don't think that's going to happen... I think there's something about the Sith, something to do with the dual identity thing that Palpatine is doing in Episode 1, almost like they actually ARE two entities in a single form. Maybe the do the same to Anakin and Vadar somehow kills off the Anakin entity...

Gonna be a cool movie... can't wait!

<font color = lightgreen>You are correct in thinking that multiple personality disorder would explain quite a bit here. It is possible (but usually not likely) for one personality to "kill" another personality (in which case that personality never again manifests or goes dormant). Also, in many cases one personality cannot access the memories or emotions of the other personality; this could explain why Vader doesn't know things that Anakin could have/should have known.

The age question, though, is a tougher one. The timing does seem a little suspect. Then again, who says that they age at the same rate that we do, eh?

first thing ani is 19-20 in episoid II.and he will begin his journey to the dark side with palpateins help(when he probable kills the sith lord in the movie)
luke and leia were twins or very close in age because ani and padme are not allowed to marry by the counsle.i beleave in the original books it mintions luke being around 17-18 because it says he is about the age to go to the academy (the age one would enter an academy) and leia is about the same age.
and ani will "die" in episoid III at the hands of obi won kinobi in an all out lightsaber fight after ani kills most of the jedi counsle(all except Yoda)in a volcanic cave and that is where Darth vader is born and why he will NEED the mechanical suit.it seems very weel planed to me

vader doesnt learn about luke untill after luck nukes the death star and his name is brodcast to the 4 corers of the universe.it is in the shadows of the empire book

Owen I believe is Anakin's step brother. So I imagine his father marries Anakin's mother in AOTC, and Owen comes into the Skywalker fold.

I'm pretty sure AOTC is set 10 years after TPM, that would make Anakin 19 or 21 (I can't remember if he was 9 or 11 in TPM), and Padme is 24.

Anakin might have made a new lightsaber if in fact it is pink in AOTC, remember Luke made a new one between ESB and ROTJ.

Luke and Leia are twins, as mentioned previously. Anakin might have known of them before he was turned, since he did say he wanted Luke to have his lightsaber, but maybe he only suspected Padme was pregnant and told Obi-Wan to give the lightsaber to the baby if she was pregnant.

I don't think Palpatine's "hiding" was due to the dual Identity. It has more to do with the fact that he did not want to Reveal themselves to the Jedi until it was absolutely necesary, until well into the movie.

I think Vader found out about Leia at the end of ROTJ, after Luke had turned himself over on Endor, and they went to the second Death Star. That is where they did the whole Father/Son duel, where Vader thought it would be a good Idea to rule the Universe as Father and Son.


Darth Maul coming back as a clone...That would be cool.

No, Owen's father must marry Anakin's mother - Owen and Anakin are step-brothers, or so I've read from an interview with the guy who plays Owen. Owen's still young in ATOC, Anakin's age or so.
