Umm, I seem to remember a HUGE post that seemed to indicate that you were somewhat less than a fan of Ed Greenwood's writing Memsie - what changed .

Nothing's changed. I needed a lobotomy and couldn't afford to get one at a hospital.

I guess I'm just a sucker for punishment. His books are so bad that I keep wanting to know just how bad he can get. It's kind of like going for that greasy, cholesterol-filled kebab at 2 am after a big night out - you know it's bad for you at the time and you regret it afterwards, but you keep on doing it just the same!

I'm with Memnoch, Ed Greenwood was the first author of a FR book I read, it took 3 cousins and 5 friends raving about R.A. Salvatore before i even though of picking up another FR book, and RA is one of 3 FR authors i read, troy denning is another, but i got hooked on him from the Prism Pentad (Dark Sun).

Memnoch - Now that Yorick is back in Australia, you should hit him up for those C.S. Friedman books I gave him! When I mailed those, was so long ago, and I was still new to both of your book tastes, I think that you'd enjoy Friedman much more than him. Yorick probably hasn't even opened up ONE book anyways, have you YORICK!

Well Memsie, I had a good collection going for that frontal lobotomy you wanted, but I was up in Perth to pre-order Wiz 8, and wandered into the local fantasy bookshop. The bad news is that I have blown all those accumulated funds away - IWD trilogy (collectors hardback), Legacy of the Drow (ditto), the 4th Jordan WOT (had the first 3 in paperback, but they are starting to fall apart - this is a replacement in hardback), oh, and the latest Mechwarrior book for good measure- kachingggg($$$$$$).

Ahem.

Thanks for the support Morgeruat, but you probably haven't read my rant about Ed Greenwood. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan, let's just say that I don't want to miss out on any Realms news.
