Whenever I tried to log into NWN today I got a message saying that a new version of the game is available.

Needless to say, I looked but there was nothing there to download.

I take it from this that the latest patch is imminent? Does anyone have any news?

Can I also take it that we should not download the new patch until Z has checked it out against the new hakpak?

Always a good idea to wait until you can't log into the server, and that holds on any server.

Edit: Ok, I updated my game, as both servers I play on are updated, but Houston, we have a problem; the custom creatures they added are listed, but there are no creatures, and there is no trident either.

Ok, it's a CEP issue, so far as we can tell, we are trying to find a work around for it now. If somebody already has an idea, that's not removing, and then replacing CEP, let me know, thanks...

I think it will be addressed in CEP version 2.0 as I surmised in the other thread. I have a distinct feeling that it is a numbering issue (that is, items in the new patch supplanting CEP items and thereby breaking the module). That is more than likely the reason for the delayed release of CEP version 2.0 until further notice. Thing is, Ziroc mentioned that when he was working on the new version of the Undermountain (in another thread here) he was using 1.67 Beta 2 (or 3). Now, should it not have broken the module in the beta version as well?

I can't say. I'd think it would, at least it would make sense, that's why they do the beta testing, to fix what doesn't work. However, CEP isn't officially supported, so...

Which means, of course, the CEP staff would have to wait for the Official Patch to come out. Bioware doesn't have to make anything that is not made by them or for them (on paid commission) work. If they felt snotty (thereby risking the wrath of their fans and risking the sales of future products by them) they could have intentionally redid all their numbering in order to screw up the CEP. Of course, that would be foolish. They just went with what worked in-house. Everything else has to roll with them, not the other way around...

I can't get in tonight. It's telling me the server and client versions don't match.

I have version 1.67.8093, is that the cause of the problem?

Go back to version 1.66.
Until Ziroc gives the all-clear signal, the server is still going to be on version 1.66 which is what you previously had.

There is a critical rebuild available at Bioware, they always do that, just in case things like this happen.

Hmm, I can't even GET to the bioware site or the update. so we'll wait till it calms down .

I still have some changes to make--beta4 changed a few things (set files) which I almost didn't see! I didnt think they would change anything, but they added a few changes.. nothing big.

But I AM In the middle of finishing up a cool tower for Waterdeep, so give me a few days As I said, it would take a few days after the patch to get situated and check everything.

I do plan on a small patch for it later, adding other stuff too But I can't WAIT for you to see this hak! MAN.. its gonna be FUN!
